Hiking: A perfect wellness for big and small

A light hike around the leisure trail across the Ahornplateau, or through the side valleys. Families, recreation sports fans and alpine specialists can find the right distance and difficulty along the 200 kilometres of well-constructed hiking paths: they can find idyllic hikes on romantic paths to alpine single- and multi-day tours over the Berliner Höhenweg or the new Peter Habeler route - there are many opportunities to experience the unique landscape of the rear Zillertal. The Zillertal Alps Nature Park is particularly stimulating, with its secluded lakes, lush meadows and beautiful mountain scenery. It extends from 1,000 metres to 3,509 metres on the Hochfeiler, and offers 379 square kilometres of countless hiking and round trips. The Action Mountain Penken also offers a wide variety of opportunities: During hiking tours one can gaze bikers on single trails, climbers on rocks, and paragliders high over Mayrhofen.

Biking: Simply ride all day

The Mayrhofen-Hippach holiday region is a true Eldorado for bikers: Over 800 kilometres of biking paths throughout the Zillertal, of which over 20 designated bike routes, from easy and medium pleasure tours along beautiful scenic paths to demanding trails.

Climbing: Leave the valley below

Climbing in Zillertal has a long tradition. First-class boulder and climbing areas such as Sundergrund or the eternal hunting grounds, as well as five climbing routes with varying degrees of difficulty lure climbers and ferratists during snow-free times on the granite rocks. Everyone, from beginner to hard mover, can find the right wall to climb.
